I think the sport seats are quite nice and in a vehicle of this class bmw better not put some crappy seats in.
Bmw comfort seats vs sport seats. I have driven both and remember the sport being a little tight the comfort being amazing. With the sport seats i can just make a couple of adjustments and they feel just right. But then there is no better or worse. What is everyones view on eco pro vs comfort vs sport modes.

Personally i chose the comfort seats because i had to active seat option not available on sport seats. I hate my sport seats. That doesnt surprise me. Theyre too narrow in the butt and i sit on the seat top side bolsters rather than between them i near 240 lbs.
I dont like the control button of seat memory on doors so in case of comfort seats i should mb go for mokka leather. Im personally big fan of bmw sport seats and they are not the same seat as e39. With that said i decided to order the multifunction sport seats with the active bolsters on the m5 and couldnt be happier with that choice. Or i stay with dacota cognac and live with that plastic controller for all of the dismissal of dakota leather a sentiment i shared based on the stiff dakota in my f30 3 series that showed wear on the seat bolsters within two years i find the dakota in the new 5 much better.
If the question is are at the comfort seats worth the extra. I dont know if there is a better seat in any vehicle to be honest outside of rr and some 6 figure cars. I see the comfort seats as just regular seats plus electrical headrest. It got so annoying that i took to drastic measures i wont mention but it involved a sledge hammer2x4 and cushion to adjust the bolster angles outward and widen the seating surfacei also dislike the distance between seat top and lower seat back.
I fiddled with it all the time. The problem is im looking to buy used both cars one with comfort one with sport only are both far away. I could honestly never get the comfort seats to a position that i liked. Imo the answer is an easy yes.
As im a frugal bugle i drive everywhere in eco pro and when i switch to comfort or sport there is a noticable increase in the horsepower available at whatever revs im on. And ive had sport seats on other bmw models. It all comes down to personal preference. Having owned 5 bmws all with sport the sport seats can be a little tight even unconfortable for my frame 63 215.
